2015 Annual Awards Nominations

Our Chamber will be celebrating its Annual Meeting & Awards Networking Reception on Tuesday, December 8,   2015.      Registration begins at 5:00 PM event begins promptly at 6:00 PM. Chamber's website. As members you can nominate candidates to be award recipients through Monday, November 16, 2015 for the following categories: 

    • Business Man of the Year: Brief overview of the individual, description of the nominee's business accomplishments, including the business's mission with additional background information.
    • Business Woman of the Year: Brief overview of the individual, description of the nominee's business accomplishments, including the business's mission with additional background information.
    • Media Advocate of the Year: Description of the Media Advocate showing his/her significant contribution to the Latino community.
    • Board Member of the Year: Brief overview of the Board Member's personal accomplishments, leadership and quality of service provided to the Hispanic community resulting from their position within the Chamber.
    • Large Corporation of the Year: Description of the large (Fortune 1000) corporate organization that has made significant contributions to the Hispanic community and has helped small business with contracting opportunities.
    • Small Corporation of the Year: Description of the small (non Fortune 1000) corporate organization that has made significant contributions to the Hispanic community and has helped small business with contracting opportunities.
    • Community Leadership Advocate of the Year: Description of the leadership and contributions to the Latino community through his/her career and example(s) of programs developed to assist and meet community needs.
    • New Business of the Year: Overview of the business success story, its mission and relevant business information.
    • Community Economic Development Advocate of the Year: Demonstrative involvement with the Hispanic community in the area of economic development.
    • Student of the Year: List of accomplishments demonstrating academic achievement, awards and/or recognition received during the past year, including a brief autobiography.
    • Most Improved Student of the Year: List of accomplishments demonstrating academic achievement, awards and/or recognition received during the past year, including a brief autobiography.
    • Volunteer of the Year: Brief overview of the Board Member's personal accomplishments, leadership and quality of service provided to the Hispanic community resulting from their position within the Chamber.
    • Please consider and use the following selection criteria when submitting your nominee(s): 
      1. Nominee(s) do not have to be MCHACC members to be eligible. The Board limits the number of non- membership Award Recipients to a maximum of (5) five. Three (3) awards will be awarded to Chamber members.
      2. Within each category, nominees must have evidenced demonstrable involvement and service to the Hispanic community.
      3. With the exception of the Board Member of the Year Award, MCHACC board members are not eligible for nomination in any other category.
      4. Nominee(s) for the Student and Most Improved Student of the Year Award must be in High School, be of Hispanic heritage and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA (Grade Point Average).
      5. A photograph of the individual being nominated must accompany all nominations.
      6. Nominee(s) agree to allow the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber of Commerce the right to use their Award winning status in appropriate Public Relations and Promotions.
      7. Nominee(s) must not have been convicted of any felony, and in the case of the student nominee(s), not have a juvenile record.
      8. Nominee(s) agree to be present at the Awards/Luncheon in order to receive their Award.
